about

What the February was a daily art challenge invented by artist and writer, Steve Chapman. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this challenge in time to take part in 2022, using my Tiny Studio Instagram account to post my creations. I decided to make it a little more relevant to me by creating a video and some kind of song, audio experiment, or backing music for each day. I made it to day 20 before giving up, but I’m exceptionally proud of the work I did and the fun I had.

The following year I took part in What the February 2023, but only made it to Day 5 before I had to bow out. This track listing includes all the tracks I made for both WTFEB 2022 and WTFEB2023.

From Steve’s website:

“Every February between 2020 and 2023 artist @stevexoh published a weird daily challenge on his Instagram page as an experiment to see if anyone would dare to do them. Over the next four years, hundreds of people from around the world took part in order to stretch their creative muscles and make the world a little bit more beautifully wonky.”
